Alyssa's bday party invitations she made for the girls in her class.
Because Travis and I would not be here for her birthday on May 21st we decided to celebrate Aly's birthday the week before.  The beginning of the festivities began on Thursday the 13th where Alyssa brought treats to school to share with her friends.  The 13th is Teagan's actual birthday so she celebrated in her class.  Here are the girls after school with their beautiful birthday crowns.
Friday Alyssa helped me bake cupcakes for the birthday parties on Saturday.  She's a great helper and loved licking off the spoon when we had finished filling up the cupcake tins.  Unfortunately not too long after this was taken Aly got a fever and slept on and off most of the day.  We cancelled the BBQ bday party for the next day with our friends. In the morning Aly was excited it was her "birthday" and she seemed pretty good so we went ahead with the little birthday party with her school friends.
"I'm 4!"
It was early in the morning and I got all kinds of shadows when trying to take pics of Aly opening her presents.

Aly loved having all her little friends sing her Happy Birthday.

Alyssa had invited a few other friends who were unable to make it. Auntie Becca and Nana also tried to get over and bring Diamond Auntie's horse but unfortunately they got stuck in traffic.  It worked out all right in the end because Alyssa was beat and crashed pretty hard after her friends left so she had a little ride on Diamond and then had an early bedtime.  She said it was the best birthday ever!

At the beginning of May we got together to celebrate the birthdays in April and May.
Uncle Chad- April 19th, Nana April- April 23rd, Cousin Harry- May 9th and Alyssa- May 21st.

I have to bribe Aly into taking nice pictures by promising she can be silly in one too. Auntie Kim suggested we get a picture of Gene Simmons from Kiss to put beside her because her tongue looks the same. I have to say I agree, maybe that can be her Halloween costume this year. HAHA!

I love this family picture!
Its the first really good one since we were all in Antigua together and the kids have grown so much since then.
