Wow, this is late and I really need to update these things sooner. Not that i'm likely to get complaints because my cute kids and stories make up for it but i'll try and post our adventures for the current week. And i'm going to start including what we do in the dayhome as well since I Alyssa is participating in things with much more interest and enthusiasm.
At the end of January we celebrated Chinese New Year. It was our theme for the week. I let the kids try eating with chopsticks- I don't have pictures because I had to be at the ready just in case my daughter decided to use them as weapons instead.
We made paper bag dragons, read some stories and sang this cute dragon song
Five Green Dragons green dragons making such a roar.
One danced away and then there were four.
Four green dragons dancing around a tree.
One danced away and then there were three.
Three green dragons dancing around you.
One danced away and then there were two.
Two green dragons dancing in the sun.
One danced away and then there was one.
One green dragon having lots of fun She danced away and then there were none.
Oh, and the pic of Emerson and the yogurt is kind of random but he did eat it that day for snack and he's getting rather good at getting it into his mouth. Although i'm not entirely sure how he managed to miss his mouth by a mile and get it high up on his cheek. Silly boy.
